Dan has been a leader in the global healthcare technology industry for over 15 years, with experience spanning Fortune 500 companies in the U.S. to Israeli start-ups. Prior to joining MindUP, Dan was CEO and President of Virtual Ports Inc., a company developing, manufacturing and marketing innovative products to improve laparoscopic surgery. Prior positions include General Manager (EndoTool Business Unit) and Director of Strategic Marketing for Hospira Worldwide, Inc., a global specialty pharmaceutical and medication delivery company, and senior positions at Johnson & Johnson (Ethicon and Ethicon EndoSurgery) and LifeWatch, Inc. He also enjoyed a 13-year career as an intelligence officer in the Israel Defense Forces.
Dan holds a Master’s in Business Administration, with Honors, from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a Bachelor of the Arts, Cum Laude, in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Haifa, Israel.

Maura is a seasoned healthcare business development professional, with 30 years of experience and a deep grasp of the digital health market. Maura joined MindUp after serving as VP Business Development of Vocalis Health, a global leader in vocal biomarkers for health. Prior to that she was COO at MemTech, led business development at Trendlines, and served as General Counsel at RiT Technologies in the RAD-Bynet group.
Maura’s experience includes marketing mapping, go to market strategy, building relationships with strategic partners and sales channels, and creating value for startups seeking investment.
Maura holds an MBA from Manchester University, a JD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and a BA Economics from the University of Michigan.

Zvika Shinar

Zvika brings 20 years of experience in the field of bioengineering and digital health, taking concepts into products. He co-founded and was the CTO of HypnoCore, Sleep rate and was Chief Scientist in EarlySense bringing new contact-free monitoring system into hospitals as well as several solutions designed for consumers and home use, including fertility applications, sleep analysis, preterm baby monitoring, hemorrhage detection.
Zvika led teams of signal processing / algorithms, data science / machine learning and innovation. He also worked closely with BD and product team to find solutions that take into account business constrains and medical workflow.
Zvika holds a Ph.D. in Medical Physics from Tel-Aviv University, where he now teaches a course on continuous monitoring of vital signs in the department of Biomedical Engineering. He also authored and co-authored peer-reviewed publications and patents on Heart Rate Variability, cardio-ballistic effect, and sleep.

Dalia has 25 years of specialized experience with early-stage startup companies, including financial design and management, budgeting, investments, legal support, banking relationships, human resources, and working with the Israel Innovation Authority. Dalia brings considerable experience to MindUP, after serving for over 20 years as CFO of the Technion Technological Incubator. Prior to joining MindUP, Dalia served as CFO of a commercial high tech services company.
Dalia holds a B.A. in Economics and Accounting from Haifa University and is qualified as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Einat has over 12 year of experience in administrative management. Prior to joining MindUP, Einat spent 5 years in HR administration and operations at Intel, following an eight-year career in the Israeli Air Force where she held several positions related to HR and administration, reaching the rank of captain. Einat holds a BA in Human Resources and Sociology and an MA in Organizational Sociology.

Guy Ezekiel
Guy Ezekiel, MD
Guy is a General Partner at Pitango.
Prior to joining Pitango, Guy was the President & CEO of Brainsway [TLV: BRIN]. Prior to that, he served as the President & CEO of Marval Pharma, a clinical stage company, developing innovative contrast agents for use in X-ray and Computed Tomography (CT) Imaging.
Guy was the President and CEO of Ventor Technologies, a Pitango portfolio company and developer of revolutionary trans-catheter valves for the Cardiology market. Ventor was acquired by Medtronic [NYSE: MDT] in 2009.
Following the acquisition, Guy was appointed General-Manager/Vice President at Medtronic.
Prior to joining Ventor and before returning to Israel, Guy was a Senior Executive at the Pittsburgh headquarters of Medrad, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Bayer Healthcare [FWB: BAYN] .
Guy holds an M.D. from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and an MBA (cum laude) from the University of Pittsburgh.

Aya Soffer
Aya Soffer
Dr. Aya Soffer is Director of AI Tech in the IBM Research AI organization. In this role, Dr. Soffer directs the world-wide research strategy and works with IBM’s product groups and customers to drive Research innovation into the Market. Her focus is on creating world-class foundational AI technologies for Businesses while advancing the state-of-art AI capabilities for understanding unstructured data including image, video, speech, text and multi-modal data. This includes extracing knowledge from data, applying reasoning, and interacting with data via dialog and natural language queries.
In her 18 years at IBM Dr. Soffer has lead several strategic initiatives that have resulted in in both breakthrough technology and IBM products and solutions. These include enterprise and social search technology, now part of IBM’s Social Enterprise and Watson products; Big data analytics solutions in the area of customer analytics and social listening; Multimedia management and analytics solutions in the area of healthcare, security, and retail.
Dr. Soffer received her MS and PhD degrees in computer science from the University of Maryland at College Park in 1992 and 1995, respectively. Before joining IBM in 1999, she was a research scientist at Goddard space flight center, where she worked on digital libraries for earth science data. Dr. Soffer has published over 40 papers in referred journals and conferences and filed over 15 patents. She has additionally served on program committees, as track chair, and given keynotes in many leading conferences including a TED Talk at TEDMED 2014.

Mark Christensen
Mark Christensen
Mark Christensen has spent his working career at three companies: Cummins Engines, Boston Scientific, and Medtronic (nee Covidien). Mark has been the global finance leader for the Medtronic Diabetes Group since December 2016 and appreciates the opportunity to contribute to improving the lives of diabetic patients. Most recently he joined the MITG team as finance leader and looks forward to the opportunity to contribute to the future of this large and diverse business.
Prior to joining Diabetes, Mark led the Renal Care Solutions and Early Technologies business units which are high-growth, early stage businesses within the MITG group focused on kidney disease and cancer diagnosis & treatment. Prior to Medtronic’s acquisition of Covidien, Mark was Vice President Finance for the Respiratory & Monitoring Solutions division. Mark enjoys developing high performing teams while fostering a healthy and inclusive culture.
Mark earned an MBA and BA in Finance at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). He serves of the board of directors for Wallin Education Partners and JDRF Minnesota.

Avi Weissman
Dr. Avi Weissman
Dr. Avi Weissman is a senior anesthesiologist at Rambam Health Care Campus and Director of Anesthesia of Rambam’s Ambulatory Surgery Center. He has been the Director of Medical Operations at Rambam since 2014.
Dr. Weissman completed his medical training in the Technion’s Ruth & Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine (1988), followed by an internship and residency at the Long Island Jewish Hospital in New York. He completed his Anesthesiology residency at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. He continued at UCLA for an additional fellowship in Cardiothoracic Anesthesia both in adults and pediatrics; on completion of his fellowship, Dr. Weissman was appointed Assistant Professor.
Dr. Weissman returned to Israel in 1997, where he was appointed as a senior anesthesiologist at Rambam. He acted as the director of Rambam’s PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) and was subsequently appointed Director of Anesthesia in the Ambulatory Surgery Center.
Dr. Weissman established the Acute Pain Service at Rambam, where many new and innovative protocols and modalities of acute pain care were introduced.
